The Suwannee River is home to a number of fish species including bluegill, redbreast, shellcracker, catfish, and largemouth bass yet the least known is the Suwannee black bass. While the Suwannee bass don’t grow too much in length, they are stockier fish that can only be found in certain parts of Florida and Georgia. From shore, kayak, or boat, fishing at the Suwannee River is a fun activity for anglers of all types.
